With more than four decades in mortgage banking, I've experienced nearly every major shift this industry has gone through, from paper files and fax machines to AI-assisted workflows and digital content systems. Through all of it, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to helping people move forward.
That has included guiding borrowers home, helping loan officers build stronger businesses, and creating systems that make the work more effective, sustainable, and human.
Today, as Director of Strategic Growth & Innovation at Summit Lending, I work at the intersection of lending, technology, communication, and growth strategy. My focus is helping our company and our loan officers grow through smarter systems, stronger messaging, and practical tools that support both people and performance.
My work includes:
✅ Leading Summit Lending's digital presence through website strategy, content systems, and online visibility
✅ Overseeing Summit Lending's weekly content ecosystem, including YouTube long-form videos, supporting Shorts, stand-alone Shorts, blog integration, and cross-platform promotion
✅ Leading a virtual team across content and growth initiatives, including Summit Lending's national blog strategy and a hyperlocal ActiveRain content system focused on Kansas City
✅ Managing ongoing publishing and legacy content optimization to strengthen local and national visibility
✅ Building CRM automation and communication workflows through platforms such as EmpowerLO and Go High Level
✅ Supporting onboarding as loan officers transition into the Summit Lending brokerage model with greater clarity, confidence, and practical understanding
✅ Developing training resources and knowledge systems through partnerships such as Knowledge Coop
✅ Coaching loan officers on marketing, social media, SEO, and practical systems that help them protect their time
✅ Helping teams adopt tools such as Canva, Descript, and AI-assisted workflows to improve communication and execution
✅ Continuing to originate loans when it serves our clients and team
Many people know me from different seasons of my career - VA lending, underwriting complex loans, leading in sales, or helping loan officers grow stronger businesses. That breadth of experience continues to shape how I lead today. While I am still often recognized as a top-producing loan officer, sales leader, or the underwriter who helped get tough loans to the finish line, my passion now is helping loan officers grow through better systems, stronger communication, and clear strategy behind the scenes. When the structure is right, people can spend less time fighting chaos and more time building relationships, serving clients well, and creating lasting success.
Outside of Summit Lending, I volunteer with One Heart Wild Sanctuary, where the connection between animals and people is a daily reminder that growth happens best in environments built on trust, care, and consistency.
