With more than four decades in mortgage banking, I've experienced nearly every evolution this industry has gone through - from paper files and fax machines to AI-driven content systems. The common thread through all of it has been a commitment to helping people succeed, whether that means guiding borrowers home or helping loan officers build businesses that actually work for their lives.
Today, as Director of Strategic Growth & Innovation at Summit Lending, I focus on bridging lending expertise with modern digital systems. My role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and people.
My work includes:
• Leading Summit Lending's digital presence, including website strategy and content systems that support both clients and loan officers
• Building CRM automation and communication workflows through platforms like EmpowerLO and Go High Level
• Supporting our onboarding team as new loan officers transition into the brokerage model and learn to operate with confidence
• Developing training resources and knowledge systems through partnerships like Knowledge Coop
• Coaching loan officers on marketing, social media strategy, SEO, and practical systems that give them back their most valuable asset - time
• Helping teams adopt accessible tools such as Canva, Descript, and AI-assisted workflows to improve communication and efficiency
• Continuing to originate loans when it serves our clients and the team
While many know me for my work with VA loans, my passion today is helping loan officers unfurl their potential through smarter systems, better communication, and clear strategy. When loan officers have the right structure behind them, they can focus on what matters most - relationships, service, and sustainable growth.
Outside of Summit Lending, I volunteer with One Heart Wild Sanctuary, where the healing work of animals and people reminds me daily that growth happens best in environments of support and trust.
